Customer reviews highlight the quality and authenticity of the food. Hao Liu described the fried yuca and plantains as “fried just right” and fell in love with the creamy horchata drink, while Randy Stein claimed it was the best Peruvian food he’d had in 45 years living in Virginia. Benjamin Brown echoed this sentiment, captivated by the irresistibly juicy pork belly and overwhelmed by the savory aromas wafting throughout the area.
But it’s not just the food; it's the experience that makes King Pollo special. The friendly staff, including a memorable bald server who keeps the mood light, enhances your visit. As reflected in Gunnar Jamerson’s review, the casual dining environment, paired with flavorful dishes, makes it a place where everyone feels welcome.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning fan, this restaurant is sure to keep you coming back for more well into the future.

Authentic Peruvian place and hidden gem I ordered half chicken with two sides. It was a mistake because the portion was so large and I ended up leaving with a to-go box. Yuca and plantain were fried just right. I tried Horchata drink, which is a milk drink with vanilla, cinnamon, and rice. Yummy I liked it! Only after the order, I saw the cook wrapped some meat in flour and flattened it on the grill surface to cook for another customer. It's called Pupusa. Looks delicious. I will be back for that!

I love Peruvian food. This small local place is the best I've had in my 45 years living in VA. Not to be missed

Oh yeah they make some good food! The smell of Peruvian chicken dominates the parking lot and drew me in, and I'm glad I visited. Portions are hearty, there was no way I could finish! They've obviously got chicken, but also pork and beef and more, like alfajores and drinks. I got some pork belly and it was very tender and juicy and yummy. Gotta come back soon for some chicken!

The white meat chicken is great, came with white and Green sauce. I only went there 1 time, definitely will return to try other things on the menu. I got the plantains and Yuca fries on the side, those fries was HUGE. For the price and the amount of food, it's a great spot for Peruvian Chicken, 5 Stars.

They have a lot of fun soda flavors and a good menu, Whether you're looking for something new to try or are already familiar with their food, eating here is a good experience.

Excellent food, authentic latinoamerican taste. Try the chicken soup or the Carne Asada...

I stopped here for an ubereats order and had to come back after delivering it. You could smell the chicken wafting into the parking lot when you walk up. I got the Pollo saltado if I remember correctly, with yuca and beans and rice. Absolutely bomb chicken with a whole lotta flavor. Its a good meal for your buck which I appreciate in this economy. I also got a Tamarind drink that lasted me the rest of the afternoon. I think I sipped it slowly because I was scared of finishing it, it was so good. The atmosphere wasn't really my vibe, and that's okay. I didn't get the name of the guy that served me, bald guy, but he was funny and kindly communicative. There were also a few lads watching a soccer match in the lobby, but other than them there was nobody. If I have one regret after visiting here, it's that I didn't sit inside and watch that game while I ate. Overall, coming from someone who's usually too scared to try new restaurants, I'm glad I tried this one. Will definetly be stopping here again to try the rest of the menu and see if I can't learn a thing or two about sports

Amazing food!! Makes me feel like at home
